We're #89 in rpi right now. Unless we really turn it around starting today, I say no

Still lean toward yes. Outside of Tennessee at the end of the year I don’t hate our remaining schedule. There’s a path for us to go on a little run.

FWIW, I expected us to lose 2 this weekend so the last two days’ results haven’t changed anything in my mind.

Probably need 14 sec wins. You can get in with 13 but you need an Rpi better than we can probably get to. So thats 10-9 with 3 against TN. Gonna be really tough.

Yes. I still think we make a regional.

We’re in the “benefit of the doubt” club for baseball. If it comes down to us and, say, OU, I think we get the nod.

You’re not wrong, and it has happened before. Got in the NCAAT without making Hoover in 2004 and 2006. Got to host the 2007 Super over Clemson who may or may not have had the better resume.

Yes. These two games have sucked, but we’re less than two innings from being up 2-0. Could say the same about Bama series - we could have easily got swept.

I hate to look at it like that, but we’re too close to throw in the towel.

Not without someone growing some Girados in the pen, and also doing much better than 1-15 with RISP!

A game like today will decide that. You’ve got to avoid a sweep.

And getting a win against a ranked opponent will help our cause even if the weekend has absolutely sucked to this point.

No,

Doubt it.

We are searching/trying to pull a rabbit out of the hat. (pitching)

But it just does not seem to be there.

Finish with Tenn., bubble pops. Hope not.

Sadly I have to say no….

I’m a ‘no’ at the moment.

What about you?

I just cannot get over how bad we became at fundamental baseball in one season. Cannot throw strikes. Cannot hit and especially with runners on base. Cannot play defense. Even among players that played well just last year.

No. And I would have said so before this bludgeoning as well. I said 12 wins a few weeks ago and that was predicting one win one this weekend. I think we’ll win one more series, Mizzou, and win 10 total conference games now. This just isn’t a good baseball team.

Nope and don’t deserve to be there either. This is a bad team and unless there’s some major changes before next year I don’t expect to see a-lot of improvement next year.

No. Bad part is we are looking at a pretty sure bet of getting swept at home again the last weekend against Tennessee.

Yes. If! Go no worse than 6-6 in remaining SEC games, and not get swept again, before Tennessee series. If Tennessee is still as hot then as now a sweep by them won’t hurt chances of a regional as much. Then in a regional.
Reasons: Last years Natty. SEC team. MSU tradition. And the Dogs will get in ahead of some other more deserving team.

I think No. I will be hoping and wishing for more because I am a glutton for punishment.
