Dan Orlovsky thinks, while North Carolina hiring Bill Belichick is great for college football as a whole, it’s also bad for the other teams to have to deal with.

Orlovsky discussed Belichick now being at UNC earlier this morning while on ‘Get Up’. Simply put, he says it’s a great move for all involved for the coach, the program, and the sport.

“I love it. I love everything about it,” said Orlovsky. “I love it for college football. I love it for Bill Belichick.”

However, who it’s not good for is the rest of programs at the collegiate level. That’s specifically so for those who will have to coach against him in the Atlantic Coast Conference as well as some of those who could lose players to him in the Southeastern Conference.

“I think everybody in the ACC is, like, ‘Gosh darn it, dude’, you know? Now we’ve got to deal with Bill Belichick?” Orlovsky said.

“I think the fringe, middle of the pack in the SEC are like, ‘Mother f-er, dude,'” said Orlovsky. “The reality is most kids want to go to play in the SEC – most kids. Everybody else wants to go play for a coach. Think about the two coaches right now in college football that, unequivocally, players will search out playing for. One was Deion Sanders. I think, now, it will be Bill Belichick.”

There’s nothing to base anything on as far as Belichick in college considering his career has been completely spent in the NFL. Still, Orlovsky is expecting success from him at the level below in Chapel Hill.

“I think it’s awesome for college football,” Orlovsky said.
