It’s now officially a source-off. Not long after North Carolina‘s athletic department released a statement refuting an earlier report from Pablo Torre regarding Jordon Hudson‘s involvement with the football program, Torre is doubling down. Torre has reaffirmed his report that the 24-year-old girlfriend of head football coach Bill Belichick, was banned from the Tar Heels football facility.

“UNC can now choose to describe or change its position on Jordon Hudson’s involvement however it wishes, following the publication of our episode,” Torre posted around noon ET on X/Twitter. “We requested comment and filed dozens of FOIA requests that were not satisfied. And we stand by the specific reporting in our episode, which came from the highest levels of the football program.

“We broke the news of an important meeting where UNC higher-ups told the football program that Jordon Hudson can’t be around the facility anymore,” Torre added in a subsequent post. “Many people around the team heard that message very clearly. You can decide who to trust, in terms of how the PR spin goes from here.”

Torre’s inclusion of “an important meeting” in which university “higher-ups” explicitly made it clear to Belichick and the Tar Heels football program that Hudson couldn’t be around the team facility is a detail he didn’t provide in his earlier Friday report.

“Two sources at the University of North Carolina tell me that there has been a decision made last week, by the higher ups inside the athletic department that hired Bill Belichick to be the highest-paid public employee, not just coach, in the state of North Carolina, at $10 million a year. That decision was that Jordon Hudson is no longer allowed in the football building,” Torre revealed on the Friday episode of his podcast Pablo Torre Finds Out. “She’s not allowed on the football field. Quote, ‘Don’t think you’ll be hearing much from Jordon moving forward.’”

North Carolina responded with a two-sentence statement. In it, UNC said that Hudson “is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities” and will “continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”

While both UNC and Torre parse words, the school and/or athletic department attempting to create distance with Hudson shouldn’t be surprising, given the growing media scrutiny on the 73-year-old Belichick’s personal and professional relationship with Hudson, who is 49 years his junior.

Over the last few months, Hudson has adopted a greater role in and around Belichick, effectively serving as the six-time Super Bowl champion coach’s personal PR representative. A recent report in The Athletic revealed Hudson’s email signature identified her as the chief operating officer (COO) of Belichick Productions, though no applicable business is registered under that name.

Hudson’s involvement in Belichick’s public life became a national talking point in the wake of a disastrous recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning in which Hudson exerted undue influence. The interview, which was intended to promote Belichick’s upcoming memoir, “The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football,” reportedly went off the rails when Hudson allegedly stormed off the set, delaying shooting for 30 minutes, according to a report from TMZ. Over the subsequent weeks, multiple additional stories have emerged that shed light on Hudson’s growing influence on Belichick.

That has included Hudson allegedly forcing her way onto the set of Dunkin’ Donuts’ Super Bowl commercial that also starred Belichick and famous actors Ben and Casey AffleckTorre previously revealed in February that Hudson was acting like Belichick’s “de facto agent” prior to Super Bowl LIX.

“She’s the person who you need to go through to book Bill Belichick for a Super Bowl commercial or for the other commitments he has as a multi-platform personality,” Torre said in February. “She’s the gateway.”
