Vince Young is on hand at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium for No. 3 Texas‘ Week 13 matchup against Kentucky on Saturday. He posted a video to social media to hype up his team’s fanbase ahead of kickoff.

The Longhorns legend predicted the final score to be 36-14 in favor of his alma mater before taking a shot at the already-wounded Wildcats.

“We finna beat the mess out of the Wildcats today,” Young said. “… Being in the SEC has been fun. I’ve been enjoying myself. I can’t wait to travel to go to Gainesville, and different places across the SEC to let y’all know how to really do it.

“Texas, we do it big, baby. Hook ‘Em Horns, baby.”

Texas’ matchup on Saturday is against a Kentucky team that just won its first game (against an FCS opponent) since September last week is the perfect opportunity to break out a huge offensive performance before the season finale against Texas A&M.

However, Kentucky’s defense has held teams to under 20 points six times this season, including an early Week 3 matchup against Georgia. The Bulldogs, which are the only blemish on Texas’ schedule, and escaped Lexington with a 13-12 win.

Overall, the Wildcats have proven to be a tricky opponent for the SEC’s playoff contenders having defeated Ole Miss, lost to Georgia by one point, and trailed Tennessee by three points late into the fourth quarter.

However, betting experts don’t expect this to be an issue for the Longhorns. Texas is an 18.5-point betting favorite over the Wildcats on game day. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET and will air live on ABC.

Texas leads the all-time series 1-0. The lone matchup between the Longhorns and Wildcats came all the way back in 1951 when Texas beat the Wildcats in Austin 7-6.

Some people don’t believe that the Longhorns have cemented themselves as a playoff contender just yet. Wins against Kentucky at home Texas A&M in College Station to round out the regular season cannot be understated. They could even potentially afford to lose in Atlanta during the SEC Championship game if they finished the regular season with 11 wins.
