Addie Deal

Addie Deal considers herself a student of the game. While she developed a reputation in the high school ranks as a crafty shot creator with a lethal shot from downtown, Deal takes the time focus on the little things. "The thing I appreciate most about Deal's game is no skill, drill, or breakdown is too elementary for her to focus on," said trainer Brandon Clay, who worked with Deal during her development. "That allows me a chance to really build into what I'd like to see her doing at the end of the workout by starting at square one." Deal missed half of her junior season at Mater Dei because of an ankle injury, but she averaged 15 points as a sophomore. 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game. She played her freshman season at Pacifica Christian, averaging over 20 points in leading the Tritons to the CIF-SS Division 4A title. “She’s a big guard who can score, pass and rebound,” Mater Dei coach Kevin Kiernan said. “She loves to play on an up-tempo team that likes to push the pace.”
