Scouting Journals for Amos Talalele

Amos Talalele Scouting Summary

Cody Bellaire

7/27/22

Two-way star along the offensive and defensive lines who overpowers his competition with his size and brute strength at the point of attack. Violent off the line of scrimmage. Excellent balance and body control for his size. Shows bend and flexibility when working down the line on defense. Plays a bit high when coming off the ball. Need to see the low pad level he shows on defense to show up on offense. Plays poor competition, will face a significant learning curve when jumping to the next level. Projects along the interior offensive line due to lack of foot speed and overall length. High floor road grader at the collegiate level.

Amos Talalele is an On3 Outlier

Amos Talalele has been a four-star projection as an offensive lineman for On3 dating back to the spring. The Santa Clara (Calif.) High two-way lineman initially committed to Cal as a defensive lineman, before flipping to USC as an offensive lineman. We view Talalele’s highest upside on offense. The 6-foot-4, 330-pounder has high-end body quickness and is a mauler at the point of attack. We often see Talelele explode into opposing linemen, creating a significant push. The functional movement skills check out on video, as well.
