Personal Life
Anquon Fegans brings a lot to the table. His speed. His coverage ability. But Thompson coach Mark Freeman said what stands out the most to him is Fegans' versatility. “He’s dynamic with the football,” Freeman told AL.com when explaining why Fegans played defense and returned kicks and punts as a junior. “I want him to catch the ball and then go score touchdowns. He's one of the best defensive backs in the state, but he's also special in so many other ways.” Fegans relishes the ability to play multiple positions. “It shows I’m versatile,” he said. “It shows me and my high school team that I can go out there and play whatever position and help our team win.” Fegans' older brother, TreQuon, signed with the Alabama in 2022 but transferred to USC. As a freshman, Fegans recorded 50 tackles and two interceptions, helping Thomson to the Class 7A state title and earning MaxPreps Freshman All-American honors for his performance. He followed it up in 2022 with 67 tackles, 11 pass breakups, nine interceptions and three defensive touchdowns. As a junior, he was named a MaxPreps Junior All-American, after racking up 59 tackles and seven interceptions.
