Blake Corum was an On3 Consensus four-star recruit and one of the top players coming out of Maryland in the Class of 2020. He picked Michigan over Ohio State, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee and numerous others. As a senior in high school, he rushed for 1,438 yards and 22 touchdowns, earning honors as the Gatorade Player of the Year for Maryland. He was also the Baltimore Sun’s Offensive Player of the Year. Corum emerged for the Wolverines in the 2021 season, finishing as the first player to record 100-plus yards rushing in three straight games to start the season since Mike Hart in 2007. Corum also ended up leading the nation in all-purpose yards. In 2022, Corum became the first Michigan player to score four first-half touchdowns since Ed Shuttlesworth in 1972. He also tied Michigan’s modern-era record with five rushing touchdowns in a game.
