Personal Life
Brennan Armstrong was a four-year starting quarterback for Shelby (Ohio). He led the team to a 13-1 record as a senior, throwing for 1,933 yards and 30 touchdowns while adding 1,105 and 22 scores on the ground. He was a consensus three-star recruit and enrolled at Virginia in January 2018. He played in four games as a freshman, maintaining his redshirt, and then seven the next season. He earned the starting role — and spot as one of four team captains — for the 2020 season. He thrived in the role, tying for the most games in FBS football with 200+ yards passing and 45+ yards rushing. He followed up that campaign with an even better 2021, throwing for 4,449 yards and 31 touchdowns on his way to the Dudley Award, which given to the best player from the state of Virginia. In 2022, Armstrong started in all 10 games for UVA and threw for 2,210 yards, seven touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He entered the Transfer Portal after the 2022 season, leaving UVA with more than 9,000 yards passing and 58 touchdowns.
