Broderick Shull
As a College Recruit
Explosive, twitchy offensive tackle with rare movement skills for the position. Measured in at around 6-foot-5.5, 275 pounds as a junior. Has plus length and big frame for the position with 34-inch arms and 10.5-inch hands. Transferred to Oklahoma powerhouse Bixby prior to his junior year, lining up at right tackle. Athleticism and twitch pop off the film. Fires out of his stance. A weapon in the run game. Dangerous as a puller and when working to the second level. Shows strong punch and grip strength. Able to manipulate and turn defenders at the point of attack. Plays with a high level of physicality and an edge. Works to finish blocks and shows a high effort level. Does not get deep into pass sets, as his team employs more of a quick set. Will need to continue improving his pass pro technique. Can also improve his balance.
Reminds Us Of
Broderick Shull's twitchy athleticism, play strength and ability in the run game remind us of Garett Bolles. Shull is further along at the same stage, as Bolles emerged as a JUCO prospect.
