Cameron Boozer – the son of two-time NBA All-Star and Duke legend Carlos Boozer – is the consensus No. 2 recruit and a Five-Star Plus+ prospect in the 2025 recruiting class. It was not uncommon for Boozer to hang out when NBA stars when he was younger. You might have even seen him before. Cameras would often catch the Boozer family in the crowd whenever his father played in the NBA playoffs. Even with the star-studded linage, Boozer said he's remained grounded and "raised the right way" thanks to his mother, Cindy. “My mom is the one who’s really prepared me for (recruiting)," he said. "Both of my parents, they're both tall. My dad is 6-9, my mom is 5-10 and they both played D-I sports. My mom played volleyball. My dad, basketball. But it's my mom that's helped me be ready for this moment." Boozer's twin brother, Cayden Boozer, is also a heralded recruit in the 2025 class. Cameron was already a well-known name long before he arrived in high school, but he generated national recognition after the 2022-2023 season at Miami's Christopher Columbus High School. Boozer was named Gatorade's National Boys Basketball Player of the Year, joining the likes of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. Boozer went 26-4 and won the Class 7A state championship at Columbus. He averaged 21.1 points, 11.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and two blocks per game while also maintaining a weighted 4.81 GPA. Boozer also starred in the 2023 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship, winning the most valuable player award. He averaged 16.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.2 assists. Boozer led Team USA to win the gold with an 82-point victory against Team Canada.
