Darron Reed

Big-framed, long defensive lineman with the build and versatile skill set to project at multiple spots along the front. Checked in at 6-foot-3.5, 270 pounds with 34-inch arms. Would not be surprised to see him end up in the 300 pound range after some time in a college strength program. Lines up inside and at defensive end for Carver and excels at both spots. A good pass rusher as a defensive line prospect, tallying eight sacks as a senior. Shows off an explosive first step along with the on-field athleticism to track down ball carriers as a pursuit defender. Pairs that athleticism with strong hands and the ability to shed blocks in run defense. Has missed time over his final two seasons due to injury.
