Personal Life
Eli Holstein earned his first Division I offer – from Ed Orgeron’s staff at LSU – before he played a down of varsity football. As a junior, he threw for 3,228 yards, 30 touchdowns and rushed for an additional 523 yards and 14 scores on the ground. That effort earned him Louisiana Class 5A all-state honors. Both of Holstein’s parents attended LSU and his father, Scott, played football for the Tigers. His brother, Caleb, won a state championship as a quarterback at St. Thomas More before graduating and signing with Louisiana Tech in 2020.

Reminds Us Of
Eli Holstein's size, plus combine athleticism and passing skills remind us of Brady Quinn. Like Quinn, Holstein, is a big, athletic quarterback with good accuracy in the short and intermediate areas of the field.
