As a Recruit
Personal Life
Good Counsel coach Andy Stefanelli says Faheem Delane can do it all. “We recruit eighth graders, and when we were recruiting him, it was a COVID year,” Stefanelli told the Columbus Dispatch. “So, we couldn’t see a lot of them play live, it was a crazy schedule and whatnot. We knew he was just potentially a different level player. Then once we got him here his freshman year, he made varsity as a freshman – which is not easy to do here – and was able to get on the field. You can just tell right away. We’ve been around some guys that have made it far, and they usually stand out right away, and for Faheem, it was right away.” Delane comes from a talented family. His older brother, Mansoor Delane, was a nationally recruited prospect when he was coming out of high school. As a junior in high school, Delane recorded 69 tackles and 18 pass breakups – including one in the end zone that secured the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship.
