Liberty Christian Academy coach Frank Rocco doesn't hold back when talking about Gideon Davidson. "Gideon's our warrior," LCA coach Frank Rocco told The News & Advance. "He's going to get the ball. He's going to compete until he runs out of gas." Davidson never ran out of gas in his junior year of high school football. During his 2023 season, Davidson finished the year with 2,752 rushing yards and 43 touchdowns. In the 14 games during the season, Davidson averaged 194 rushing yards per game and 12.9 yards per carry while leading his team to its first ever state championship. That success helped him earn MaxPreps Junior Player of the Year honors. "He’s just a naturally gifted freak is what he is," Rocco said. "It’s just all natural. As he continues to learn the game of football and the specific techniques and the cerebral part of the game, he’s going to be just unbelievable."
