Indya Nivar

Personal Life

Indya Nivar was rated as one of the top 25 recruits in the Class of 2022 out of Apex (North Carolina) Friendship High School. She also won a gold medal as a member of USA Basketball’s U18 National Team in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Nivar was a McDonald’s and Jordan Brand All-American. She was also named the North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year and North Carolina Miss Basketball in 2022. Nivar averaged 18 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.5 steals as a senior. Nivar is the daughter of Ebony Cooms-Nivar and Kenny Nivar. She was the vice president of the student council and volunteered in the community with Note in the Pocket, an organization that provides clothing for homeless and disadvantaged children.
