Jamarion Batemon

As a College Recruit

Jamarion Batemon is a bonafide shot maker. Standing in the 6-foot-3 range, the scoring guard has long arms and twitchy athleticism. He also carries the utmost confidence from deep. Batemon has a quick release with good footwork. He is able to get his shoulders squared and eyes on the rim in a hurry. He plays with good balance and the shot load is consistent and release is quick. Batemon is consistent shooting off movement or stepping into a shot off the bounce or with his feet set. He will need to continue working on his handle, getting north south off the bounce with some wiggle, but his shooting is the super power here. He will need to continue fine tuning his shot selection, and a lot of that will have to do with finding his spots on the floor and utilizing his footwork and cuts to get there. There is upside on defense as he can guard the ball and has some instincts in the passing lanes. Batemon is averaging over 10 threes attempted per game on the Adidas 3SSB 17u Circuit and he is knocking them down at a 44+ percent clip.
