Jaxon Howard
Minnesota
As a Recruit
Personal Life
Jaxon Howard has football in his blood. He is coached by his father, Willie Howard, who starred at Stanford and was a second-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings. As a junior at Stanford, his father won the Morris Trophy, given to the top defensive lineman in the Pac-12 Conference. Jaxon Howard looks to follow in his father’s footsteps. “His nickname growing up was always ‘Mini-me.’” Willie Howard told MN Football Hub. “He’s a monster on defense. He flies to the ball and wants to make every single play and that comes naturally. He had a knack for getting to the ball. On offense, he releases, he blocks well, and his hands are unbelievable when the ball is thrown to him.” Away from football, Howard likes to fish, lift and spend time outdoors. He plans on majoring in communications. His brother, Phoenix Sproles, is a receiver at North Dakota State. His other siblings are Sterling Sproles and Aeyva Hoawrd.
