Personal Life
Kenny Pickett was a consensus three-star recruit out of Oakhust (N.J.) Ocean Township. He threw for 4,670 yards and 43 touchdowns and ran for another 873 yards and 17 scores during his high-school career. Pickett played also played baseball in high school but didn’t play his senior year after enrolling early at Pitt in the winter of 2017. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing at Pittsburgh and is currently enrolled in Pitt’s business school. He is the son of Ken and Kasey Pickett. Ken was a linebacker at Shippensburg from 1989-1991 and is in the school’s athletic Hall of Fame. He was a DII second team All-American in 1991 and he left Shippensburg as its all-time leading tackler (455) despite playing only three seasons. Kasey played soccer at Kutztown. His sister, Alex, was a forward on the East Stroudsburg soccer team from 2015-2018. She started 78 games, notched 31 career goals and made an all-conference team three times.
