As a Recruit
Personal Life
Manchester (New Hampshire) Bradford Christian Academy coach Vincent Pastorie could use a lot of words to describe Kur Teng. But he says two words would do best. “Bucket-getter,” Pastorie told WMUR TV. “He’s a bucket-getter. There are only a few players in the country that can score at his level.” Teng averaged 14.3 points while shooting 37.5% from 3 in the summer before his junior season playing up on the Adidas 3SSB 17U Circuit with the Mass Rivals program. “I’ve learned how to play my style and still play harder,” Teng told On3’s Jamie Shaw. “I have continued learning how to win and help my team win. I like watching Devin Booker a lot – how he gets to his buckets.” Teng scored 30 points in his first varsity game as a freshman at Manchester West High School. He then transferred to Bradford Christian, where he exploded into one of the nation’s top scorers. “He plays at a pace where everything just comes naturally for him,” Pastorie said. “He’s very graceful. Everything is graceful for him on the court. He’s got a good chance of playing in the NBA if he continues to do the right things in school, out of school and on the court.”
