Kyle Hergel

Personal Life

Kyle Hergel was born and raised in Toronto. He left his home country of Canada to play for North Dakota. Hergel redshirted in 2018 before becoming the starting right guard and earned FCS Independent's Newcomer of the Year award for his performance. He continued where he left off in the 2021 spring season before entering the transfer portal ahead of the FCS playoffs. He transferred to Texas State where he was All-Sun Belt honorable mention and started every game for the Bobcats at right tackle. He was a communication major at North Dakota.
