Personal Life
Ryan Pellum was “destined to be great at football” ever since he was born, according to his brother and Millikan High School coach, Romeo Pellum. Pellum’s older brother played at Washington State and Hampton University. His brother played professionally in the CFL and with the AFL’s LA Kiss. Afterward, he founded Players of the Future, a 7-on-7 football program, and he currently works with EVO Sports Training in Long Beach, California. “Ryan's not going to make it because of our family name,” Romeo Pellum told Cannon Sports. “He worked out three times a day ever since he was little. He was training consistently. He did not miss year-round speed training and year-round football training. That was established in him when he was young, and it’s helped him become the player that he is now.” That player is one of the top high school players in the Southland. In 2022, he caught 52 passes for 1,028 yards and 10 touchdowns. He averaged 19.8 yards a catch and also racked up 27 tackles on defense. Pellum also had 10 touchdown receptions as a sophomore.
