Scouting Journals for Squirrel White

Marquarius White having a strong senior season

Charles Power

11/24/21

Marquarius White is having one of the best senior seasons among the deep wide receiver group nationally. White, who goes by the nickname “Squirrel” is a big play threat at Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville winning with easy downfield separation and the ability to take a quick hitch and jet past defenders. So far, White has caught 46 passes for 1,126 yards and sixteen touchdowns, averaging a gaudy 24.5 yards per catch. He’s also picked off two passes as a defensive back. White’s 10.69 second speed in the 100 meters easily transfers over to the field, but he’s also a skilled receiver. We see the Tennessee pledge make difficult catches, showing the ability to track, adjust and high-point the football.

Marquarius White has big game against Hueytown

Tennessee wide receiver commit Marquarius White looks like a steal for the Vols out of Alabama. White had a huge day on Friday, catching five balls for 96 yards and three touchdowns in addition to running back a kick for another score. The 5-foot-9, 155-pounder has a 10.69 second 100-meter time to his name. The speed certainly transfers over to the field. White is a shifty, sudden weapon in space.
