Personal Life
Stetson Bennett IV was born to play for the Georgia Bulldogs. His parents, Stetson III and Denise, met while attending the school and he attended over 90 Dawgs games growing up. He attended Blackshear (Ga.) Pierce County and was a three-year starter. He was all-state second team as a senior. Not highly recruited out of high school, Bennett walked-on to the Georgia football team as was named an offensive scout team player of the year. He transferred to JUCO Jones College in Mississippi where he led the team to a 10-2 record. He then transferred back to Georgia — this time on scholarship. He served as a backup in 2019 and started five games in 2020. Bennett is the oldest of five children. Stetson Bennett III was a quarterback at Georgia Southern before transferring to Georgia. Buddy Bennett, Stetson Bennett IV’s grandfather, was a quarterback for South Carolina from 1958-1960. Buddy’s brother, Stetson Bennett Jr., earned a scholarship to play football at Auburn. Bennett is majoring in learning design and technology at Georgia.
