Tyler Jackson is an aggressive, quick-twitch guard. At a slender 6-foot-1, he is comfortable playing on the ball and looking to get to his shot. Jackson has a comfortable release of the bounce. His mechanics can break down at times because of the difficulty of some of his attempts, but he’s confident. He needs to work on playing off the ball and his overall shot selection. Can disappear if he is playing with another initiator. Jackson can get downhill with a quick first-step and burst. Jackson will need to continue adding strength as he can currently get swallowed up at times in the paint. He does also have some burst to finish over top if a player is late rotating. There is upside on defense with the length and quick feet. He will need to work on his passing reads if he is going to be on the ball. He has a competitive and confident mentality, which helps lead to production.
