Ultra-fast 2026 WR Zamarii Sanders granted eligibility by FHSAA
One of the fastest high school football players in Florida will be back on the field Friday after he was granted provisional eligibility Wednesday by the Florida High School Athletic Association.
Zamarii Sanders, a receiver at Cardinal Newman High in West Palm Beach, will be allowed to play Friday when the Crusaders open their regular season against Miami Monsignor Pace. Sanders, a three-star recruit in the class of 2026 with offers from Louisville, Kentucky, Syracuse and Pittsburgh, had been embroiled in an eligibility dispute after leaving American Heritage High in Plantation, Fla., where he played last year.
Sanders’ attorney Jason Setchen issued a press release Wednesday that noted Sanders would be allowed to play pending a full FHSAA hearing next month. American Heritage had refused to release Sanders’ transcript, claiming he owed tuition.
