What Cameron Boozer brings to Duke
Cameron Boozer is coming off an impressive senior season this past season at Miami (FL) Columbus, where he led the program to a fourth consecutive state championship. He averaged 22.1 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.5 blocks to become a Naismith Trophy semifinalist. He also thrived off the field with a 4.82 weighted GPA.
The son of former NBA player Carlos Boozer, Cameron Boozer became a Five Star Plus+ prospect. He was the No. 3 overall player from the 2025 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services. He’s also one of the highest-profile recruits in the country with a $1.5 million On3 NIL Valuation.
“Cam and Cayden are two of the all-time winners in high school basketball. What they’ve accomplished in high school, AAU and with USA Basketball is unbelievable,” said Duke head coach Jon Scheyer in a press release announcing the Boozers’ signings. “Cam is a special talent. He’s the ultimate teammate and makes everyone on the floor better.
“His passing, ability to penetrate and kick and score from anywhere on the floor is one-of-a-kind. His feel for the game, combined with his talent and his size, is exactly what you look for in terms of a modern-day NBA player.”
