Eleven high school football players from the state of Florida violated FHSAA bylaws by participating in the Under Armour All-America Game last week, according to a report from Daytona Beach News-Journal’s Jon Santucci.

According to FHSAA bylaw 26.1.1.2, student-athletes who participate in an ‘all-star contest’ exhaust their eligibility in that specific sport. The exception to the rule is if athletes play in an all-star game outside of the state of Florida.

Vero Beach football coach Lenny Jankowski told the News-Journal that the FHSAA informed high school teams that they must self-report the violations, but that there will be no consequences.

Last week’s Under Armour All-America Game was held in Orlando on Jan. 2.

The following Sunshine State players made the final Under Armour All-America rosters:

QB Will Griffin (Florida commit) — Treasure Island Jesuit
RB Derrek Cooper — Fort Lauderdale Chaminade-Madonna
IOL Micah Smith — Fort Pierce Vero Beach
OT Keenyi Pepe — Bradenton IMG Academy
WR Naeem Burroughs — Jacksonville Bolles School
EDGE Jake Kreul — Bradenton IMG Academy
LB Jordan Campbell (Miami commit) Miami Carol City
LB Izayia Williams — Leesburg Tavares
S Simeon Caldwell — Jacksonville Bolles School
CB J’Vari Flowers — Miami Northwestern
S Zech Fort — Bradenton IMG Academy

Flowers, Kreul stood out as UAAA top performers

Four-star defensive back J’Vari Flowers was named a top performer at Under Armour All-America by On3’s Charles Power and Cody Bellaire.

J’Vari Flowers was the most dominant defensive back from start to finish at Under Armour. From Day 1 he started off strong with multiple pass breakups during the team and 7-on-7 periods. He followed up a strong Day 1 of practice with an even stronger Day 2, collecting two pass breakups and an interception during the team period. Flowers solidified his spot as a top performer in Thursday’s game, making an acrobatic interception off of K.J. Lacey, jumping a quick screen. He later came down with a late-game pass breakup, saving a touchdown. The Miami native’s instincts, and ability to mirror and play the ball at the catch point allowed for him to put on a show in Orlando.” – Cody Bellaire

Four-star EDGE Jake Kreul also made the final list.

Jake Kreul‘s relentless effort and hustle to the football always jumps out. To no surprise, he brought that same energy to Under Armour. Kreul’s burst and active hands paid dividends during the 1-on-1 periods, as he won with burst off the line of scrimmage and counter moves. During the team periods, he was constantly pursuing ball carriers from the backside and was able to make plenty of plays in the backfield. During the game, he was constantly finding his way into the backfield hurrying the opposing quarterbacks and making plays around the line of scrimmage. He collected two total tackles, a tackle of loss and a sack on the day and was one of the more disruptive players for the victorious Team Icon. Kreul looks to have one of the higher floors amongst the 2026 edge defenders due to his physicality and motor, which we saw all week in Orlando.” – Cody Bellaire
