Gabriel Sularski, one of the top high school basketball players in the Midwest, is taking his talents to Utah.

Sularski tells Rivals he’s transferring from Lemont (Ill.) to Layton Christian Academy (Utah) for the 2025-26 season. He already holds high-major offers from programs like Michigan State, Notre Dame, Purdue, Illinois, Indiana and Tennessee.

“I’m really excited to join Layton Christian,” Sularski said. “I think it’s a great place for me to grow both as a player and a person. The competitive schedule, the coaching staff, and the environment will push me to reach the next level. I can’t wait to get started and represent the program.”

Sularski, who plays for Poland’s U16 national team, was named the South Suburban Conference Blue Player of the Year after averaging 17.6 points, five rebounds and five assists per game last season. He’ll join an Eagles program that’s looking to remain at the top of Utah’s high school basketball scene.

Layton Christian is coming off a state championship, defeating Cottonwood for the Utah High School Activities Association’s (UHSAA) Class 4A crown in February. The Eagles finished the 2024-25 season with an overall record of 26-3.

From last year’s team, Layton Christian is losing 6-foot-9 star power forward Tyrin Jones, who signed with UNLV, to graduation. With the addition of Sularski, the Eagles should be well positioned to once again repeat as UHSAA Class 4A champions.
