Indiana Girls Basketball Player Completes Rare Quintuple Double
Kira Reynolds made Indiana girls basketball history after completing a quintuple double in their one-sided 85-12 victory over New Prairie. The South Bend Washington standout had 14 points, 18 rebounds, 12 assists, 11 steals, and ten blocks in the victory. Based on verifiable records, her stat line marks only the 14th quintuple double in girls basketball history.
However, Reynolds’ success isn’t a one-off occurrence because she has been magnificent in the 2024-25 season. She can do it all, averaging 16.6 points, 13.5 rebounds, 6.5 blocks, 6.3 assists, and 3.5 steals per game. Those numbers make her a leading candidate for the Indiana Miss Basketball award.
Meanwhile, her performance against the Cougars made Reynolds the first Indiana High School Athletic Association player to register 1,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 500 blocks, and 300 assists. Likewise, her rare feat helped the Panthers extend their winning streak to ten games and improve their record to 15-1.
Winning 15 of their first 16 games makes South Bend Washington the sixth-best team in the Indiana On3 Composite Team Rankings. If all goes well, she and the Panthers could have their second Indiana girls basketball state championship in three years.

After playing her final season in girls basketball, Kira Reynolds will join the Purdue Boilermakers. It’s an easy choice for the 6-foot-4 forward because her sisters, Amiyah and Mila, are already attending Purdue. Meanwhile, basketball is in her DNA because her father, Steven, played basketball for Western Michigan. Likewise, her parents played professional basketball overseas.
While Reynolds has the first quintuple-double in Indiana girls basketball history, other players have done it before her. Last month, Fonda-Fultonville’s Kieonna Christmas had 11 points, 20 rebounds, 11 assists, 10 steals, and 10 blocks in their victory over Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons.
Meanwhile, it’s widely believed that former WNBA champion and MVP Tamika Catchings had the first quintuple-double in girls basketball. The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame inductee had 25 points, 18 rebounds, 11 assists, 10 steals, and 10 blocks in a 1997 game.
