Colorado QB signee Julian Lewis finishes elite high school football career for Carrollton (Ga.)
Despite falling short in the Georgia 6A state championship game this week, Carrollton star quarterback Julian Lewis finished off what was an elite three-year career under center for one of the Peach State’s top high school programs.
Across 42 games for the Trojans, Lewis compiled 11,010 yards and 144 touchdowns. What makes the 6-foot, 186-pounder’s stint at Carrollton all the more impressive is how impactful he was as a freshman, sophomore and junior — which became his senior year.
As a freshman, Lewis eclipsed 4,000 passing yards, completing 283 passes for 4,118 yards and 48 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. Carrollton went 14-1 that season, but lost in the 7A state title game against Mill Creek.
Lewis then matched that TD total as a sophomore, throwing for 48 more scores, though he took a huge leap by allowing just two interceptions all year. He managed 3,094 passing yards last season as the Trojans went 11-2, losing in the 7A quarterfinals to Walton.
After reclassifying up, Lewis played his final high school season this fall, where he hurled for 3,465 yards and 46 TDs to five INTs. He also rushed for two touchdowns this season — which saw Carrollton again finish 14-1, this time losing in the 6A state title game to Grayson earlier this week.
Despite not claiming a state championship, Lewis leaves a monumental impact on the Carrollton program, which went 39-4 across the past three seasons. The Trojans are the No. 5 team in the nation, according to the On3 Composite Rankings.

Lewis heads to Colorado after elite high school career
Lewis was named the Gatorade Georgia Player of the Year for the second time earlier this month. He also won the award in 2023, when he was also named a finalist for National Player of the Year.
On Dec. 4, Lewis signed with Colorado. The four-star prospect flipped his commitment to the Buffaloes from USC and is now headed to Boulder as one of the more decorated high school recruits in recent memory.
Lewis is the No. 39 overall prospect and No. 6 QB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 player in Georgia.
He has an On3 NIL Valuation of $1.2 million. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
