Nasir Anderson, one of the best high school basketball players in Georgia is set to take his talents elsewhere. Not quite South Beach, but close enough.

A four-star guard in the 2027 class, Anderson announced via social media that he would be transferring from Norcross (Ga.) to Prolific Prep (Fla.).

Anderson earned MVP honors at the FIBA U16 AmeriCup in June after averaging 12.3 points, 6.8 assists, 3.5 steals, and 2.3 rebounds over six games. Anderson ranks No. 40 in the Rivals Industry Ranking and is one of the top point guards in his class.

The point guard already holds offers from programs like Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, and Tennessee.

Anderson is not the only talented prospect to join the Crew this offseason. Five-star Caleb Holt and four-star Bruce Branch both shared last month that they would be transferring to the program.

Prolific Prep is in the middle of a transfer of its own. The school announced in May that it was moving its operations from Napa, Calif. to South Florida. It is currently constructing a state-of-the-art training facility in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

“This move gives us everything we need — elite facilities, resources to support our student athletes, and a thriving basketball culture — to keep developing NBA-level talent and competing for championships. We’re building something special in Ft. Lauderdale. I’m proud to lead this next chapter of Prolific Prep,” coach Ryan Bernadi said when the move was announced.

Since the academy’s inception back in 2014, Prolific Prep has established itself as a national high school basketball powerhouse. The Crew have posted a 297-43 record over the last nine seasons. The program has also produced just under a dozen NBA players, 14 McDonald’s All-Americans and also 15 Nike Hoop Summit selections.

Prolific Prep will look to battle other academies and private schools like national powers Columbus, IMG Academy and Montverde Academy for in-state dominance of the high school boys basketball landscale.

Scouting Nasir Anderson

“Nasir Anderson is a problem at the point of attack,” Rivals basketball recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw wrote in June. “His consistent ability to create advantages at the most dangerous place on the court is very intriguing. He is a strong and physical lead guard who plays with excellent balance. The jump shot will need to continue growing but his explosive presence is difficult to ignore.”
