Prediction: Millard South (Neb.) rolls to another state title

The 2025 high school football season will be getting underway in less than six weeks, which means it’s officially preview season. Rivals will be spending that time breaking down the nation’s top teams from coast-to-coast, and today we head to the Midwest to look at Nebraska power Millard South. The three-time state champions start off the season in Las Vegas and are easily the favorites to win Nebraska’s NSAA Class A state title this fall.
Player Spotlight: QB Jett Thomalla
Surprise. Well, probably not really if you were thinking that anyone else other future Alabama signal caller was going to be the focus here as the Patriots make a repeat run for a state title. Jett Thomalla is the engine that makes the offense go for Millard South, but it won’t all be on the right arm of the senior fireballer.
The four-star passer will have a strong cast of skill players surrounding him, with Iowa State commit Amarion Jackson (50 catches, 778 yards) and Missouri commit Isaac Jensen (36 catches, 593 yards) both back in the fold. Throw in the return of the team’s leading rusher from last season in Gabe Prucha, who rushed for over 800 yards, and you have a pretty experienced, dangerous offense.
Others to watch: RB/LB Gabe Prucha, ATH Amarion Jackson, TE Isaac Jensen
Season Prediction: 9-0
There’s really only one way we see this season ending for the Patriots and that’s with Nebraska’s Class A state championship.
This group is deep, talented and experienced, which makes for a winning combination in any state and at any classification. Behind a high-powered offense, an opportunistic defensive side, we think the Patriots will roll to a undefeated season and repeat as state champs.
