Caleb Holt is one of the top prospects in the 2026 class. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Grayson High (Loganville, GA) is the No. 4 overall player in the country, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
This season, the following college programs have visited the Five-Star Plus+ junior, he told On3: Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Houston, Kansas, Kentucky, Providence, and Tennessee.
Of those programs, he says three head coaches have made the trip to see him: Houston’s Kelvin Sampson, Georgia’s Mike White, and Georgia Tech’s Damon Stoudamire.
Holt, a native of Huntsville, Alabama, has visited several schools to this point. According to the On3 Visit Center, he’s been to Auburn five times, Alabama three, Georgia and Georgia Tech twice, and Ole Miss, Houston, and Tennessee each once.
Holt talks programs involved
In a previous interview with On3, Holt discussed several of the schools recruiting him.
Alabama: “I just talked to Nate Oats yesterday. He was just checking in. He was asking when I was going to come back down there and check them out.”

Auburn: “Auburn is having a big year this year. They have Tahaad (Pettiford) and he’s having a great year. Just seeing with what they do with their guards, it’s a great look for me to see because I want to play guard and get to the next level. The confidence coach Bruce Pearl has them playing with is a coach I’m looking for to have that confidence in me.”
Ole Miss: “Coach (Wes) Flanigan has been recruiting me, from his time at Auburn. So I know me and him have a great relationship.”
Kentucky: “I talked to Jason (Hart) a lot, like every week. Our relationship is great. Sometime it’s about basketball, sometimes its just about whatever I’m doing in that moment. I might be on the way to the gym or me and my dad will be talking to coach Jason, or him and my dad will be talking. He’s just checking in on me and seeing how I’m doing. We’re both basketball heads so we talk about basketball and the games going on. They’ve been winning some big games lately. Coach Mark Pope came to my school and came to talk to me. We’ve been on a Zoom call. He thinks I’m a guy who can exceed at Kentucky and a guy that can win a National Championship.”
The Five-Star Plus+ guard a Standout at City of Palms
At the City of Palms Classic in December, I listed Caleb Holt as one of the top performers.
Caleb Holt plays with a competitive edge. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Grayson (GA) plays the game with toughness and a high motor. Holt, a Five-Star Plus+ prospect originally from Huntsville, AL, excels in getting into the lane with his strong frame and can draw fouls. An excellent two-way player who says he is trying to transition more into a point guard. Holt finished with 20 points, four assists, and two steals. Kansas’ Bill Self looked on, along with assistants from UNC, Kentucky, Louisville, Arkansas, and others.
On3’s Jamie Shaw recently had some positive things to say about him:
Caleb Holt has steadily continued to improve his overall game. He made his mark as a defensive presence, a player who can routinely guard the opposing team’s best perimeter player, and consistently make things difficult. He is a good athlete and has a lengthy and projectable frame. Holt has developed his game off the bounce, looking comfortable as secondary or complimentary ball handler. His jump shot and middle game have also started to become more consistent. With some others at the top of this class there are some high highs and low lows, with Holt, there is a steady presence that you can count on.
