2022 CB Jarell Stinson to announce his commitment Wednesday
2022 consensus three-star cornerback Jarell Stinson will announce his college commitment this Wednesday.
He dropped the news on his Twitter account late Sunday night.
The Opelika (Ala.) High product is choosing between Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Penn State and UCF.
Stinson is down to five schools
Jarrel Stinson announced his top five in early August.
He visited Florida and UCF in early June, and Florida State and Ole Miss in late July.
Stinson is a dynamic cornerback who has a proven ability to tackle in the open field. He had 95 tackles during his junior season, and also returned two punts for touchdowns.
The 5-foot-10 athlete also plays some offense for Opelika (Ala.) High, and has notched a few rushing touchdowns this season.
His best attribute may be his blazing speed. Stinson was the Alabama state champion in the 100-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter dash.
Jarell Stinson was a previous Auburn commit
Stinson was first committed to Auburn. Opelika is the town right next to Auburn, and his high school is about a 25-minute drive away.
He was the first commit to the Tigers, pledging to the school on Dec. 14, 2020 — one day after Gus Malzahn was fired.

Stinson has been in a front-row seat to the recruiting process before
Jarrel Stinson is the brother of Duke safety Jaylen Stinson, who graduated from Opelika in 2020.
Jaylen Stinson was the Blue Devil’s top special teams player in 2020 and is currently a backup safety.
Jarrel Stinson said watching Jaylen go through the recruiting process made it easier for him when it got difficult for him during his process.
