Quarterbacks begin to rise in PFF’s projection
This year’s draft class is seen as being a weaker class for quarterbacks. In PFF’s 2022 NFL Mock Draft, only three quarterbacks were taken in the first round. Previously, Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral had been mocked as a fringe-top ten pick. But now, Pittsburgh’s Kenny Pickett rises all the way to third overall. Corral is selected ninth overall and North Carolina’s Sam Howell is taken 18th.

There is also a switch at the very top of this mock draft. Oregon’s Kayvon Thibodeaux has been seen as the consensus top prospect in this year’s draft class for the majority of the last year. But Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson has made a strong case for himself as the top player available.
Drafts are difficult to project until the official order is set, and that won’t happen until after the Super Bowl is played. But for now, this is an interesting look as to how the NFL Draft could look in the offseason.
