Joson Sanon, one of the top shooting guards in the 2025 class, has narrowed his list of schools down to 10. Moving forward, the 6-foot-5 junior out of Vermont Academy will consider Arizona, Boston College, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Overtime Elite, and Providence.

Ranked No. 11 nationally in the On3 Industry Ranking, Sanon does not currently have any official visits scheduled.

Up to this point, Sanon has previously taken official visits to Indiana, Oklahoma State, and Arizona. He’s unofficially visited Providence (15-20 times), UConn, and Boston College.

“I’m scoring a lot better on the ball now,” Sanon recently told On3’s Jamie Shaw. “I’ve heard some people say that I can only score off the ball, so now I am starting to bring out my mid-post game and scoring with the ball in the game. I’m watching a lot of Demar DeRozan and how he likes to get to his middie, and keep attacking.”

What Sanon’s looking for in a school

“The environment around the school will be big for me,” Sanon told Shaw. “I am going to look closely at their play style. I like to play fast, use ball screens, and move the ball. And I like how we play here at Vermont Academy.”

Scouting Report

“Joson Sanon has a basketball player’s frame, with long arms and wide-set shoulders. His pace is excellent, Sanon is never rushed with the ball. At 6-5, he has a pure jump shot with range beyond the arc. He is comfortable shooting off the bounce or the catch, keeping his mechanics consistent throughout. Sanon is a good athlete with explosion and burst. He has the upside to be a good defender, both on and off the ball. Sanon has a solid handle, comfortable getting to the midrange off one and two dribbles. Sanon is tracking among the top in his class.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw

Sanon’s NIL Valuation worth over $150K

Joson Sanon currently holds a $157,000 On3 NIL Valuation, which ranks 43rd in high school basketball.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.

About On3 NIL Valuation, Brand Value, Roster Value

While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career.
