2025 NFL Rookie of the Year odds revealed for offense, defense
On3

The odds for NFL Rookie of the Year, offensive and defensive, were released via FanDuel. Now that the 2025 NFL Draft is in the rearview mirror, we have the betting odds officially!

Notably, Jacksonville Jaguars two-way star Travis Hunter was listed as a popular pick for both awards this season. He already won the Heisman Trophy, so could he conceivably win two trophies as a rookie?

We’ll break down the odds for Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year and list the other notables, per FanDuel. Let’s start with the offensive side of the ball.

Ashton Jeanty, RB – Las Vegas Raiders (+270)

Jeanty was the Heisman runner up and now the favorite for Rookie of the Year. He should fit well in Vegas’ offense.

A veteran quarterback in Geno Smith helps out as well, but expect Pete Carroll to rely on Jeanty a lot as a rookie. With the running back resurgence in the NFL, Jeanty could be an instant star.

Cam Ward, QB – Tennessee Titans (+380)

Ward might have some growing pains with a rebuilding Titans team, but he’s got the franchise swagger. A cannon for an arm, a mobile quarterback and confidence is a great combination.

We;ll see how he adjusts to Brian Callahan’s offense, but Ward has a great shot at Rookie of the Year. Does he have an instant impact like Jayden Daniels?

Travis Hunter, WR – Jacksonville Jaguars (+750)

Our first mention of Hunter for Rookie of the Year. It seems like offense will be the primary for the two-way star while he adjusts to defensive schemes in Jacksonville.

But as we saw in college, Hunter can be an elite route runner. He should be the star attraction for this franchise looking for a little more juice in 2025.

Tetairoa McMillan, WR – Carolina Panthers (+950)

McMillan was a bit of a surprise pick by Carolina in the top 10, but has good odds for Rookie of the Year. He could very well be Bryce Young’s favorite target off the bat.

McMillan can stretch the field and go up and get it. Getting a lot of targets should help his betting value during his first year.

Omarion Hampton, RB – Los Angeles Chargers (+1,400)

Another coach who loves running backs is Jim Harbaugh. Hampton was the top guy not named Ashton Jeanty.

He’s also very good at yards after contact and he’s a bruising running back. The grind and old school approach of LA under Harbaugh should be fun to watch as Hampton could win Rookie of the Year.

Other notables on offense:

TreVeyon Henderson, RB – New England Patriots (+2,000)
Quinshon Judkins, RB – Cleveland Browns (+2,000)
Tyler Shough, QB – New Orleans Saints (+2,000)
Matthew Golden, WR – Green Bay Packers (+2,000)
Jaxson Dart, QB – New York Giants (+2,200)
Tyler Warren, TE – Indianapolis Colts (+2,500)
Shedeur Sanders, QB – Cleveland Browns (+2,500)
Colston Loveland, TE – Chicago Bears (+2,500)

Defense: Abdul Carter, EDGE – New York Giants (+250)

Carter was the top overall defender to some in this draft. He’s the favorite to win Rookie of the Year on the defensive side of things.

Carter is a game wrecker in the mold of Micah Parsons. The Giants have a superstar on their hands and he could be one of the better defenders in the league right away.

Jalon Walker, LB – Atlanta Falcons (+700)

Walker can play multiple positions at linebacker and could be a scary individual. It seems like he fits the mold of the Atlanta Falcons.

As far as his Rookie of the Year odds, he’s second! But, as mentioned previously, it’ll be tough to beat Carter while we sit four months and change from the new season.

Travis Hunter, CB – Jacksonville Jaguars (+1,000)

Hunter has a better shot to win Rookie of the Year on offense, rather than defense. That’s likely due to Carter as well as Hunter perhaps getting more opportunities to shine on offense.

Still, it was tough to beat Hunter while he lined up at cornerback in college. He’s a ball hawk, which is his best attribute as a DB.

Mykel Williams, EDGE – San Francisco 49ers (+1,100)

The 49ers needed a shot in the arm on defense and Williams does that for them. His Rookie of the Year odds reflect that too!

He should have a large role in 2025 right away, but his odds are behind other notable pass rushers and backers like Carter and Walker. At least, right now.

Shemar Stewart, DE – Cincinnati Bengals (+1,200)

Stewart is an interesting case and bet for Rookie of the Year. The Bengals have been trying to sign and keep their homegrown players right?

Well, Stewart can add to a defense and replace Sam Hubbard while playing alongside Trey Hendrickson. So long as Hendrickson’s new contract comes to fruition, that combo could be deadly.

Other notables on defense:

Mason Graham, DT – Cleveland Browns (+1,200)
Mike Green, EDGE – Baltimore Ravens (+1,500)
Jihaad Campbell, LB – Philadelphia Eagles (+1,500)
James Pearce Jr., EDGE – Atlanta Falcons (+1,600)
Jahdae Barron, CB – Denver Broncos (+2,000)
Donovan Ezeiruaku, DE – Dallas Cowboys (+2,500)
Walter Nolen, DT – Arizona Cardinals (+2,500)
Malaki Starks, S – Baltimore Ravens (+2,500)
