Buford (Ga.) 2026 defensive lineman Bryce Perry-Wright is surrounded by talent at Buford High School. Perry-Wright shares snaps with five-star Eddrick Houston, major college prospects Matreece Dillard, Nico Maggio and others.

Perry-Wright has been learning from the five-star Houston. He learned a lot.

“Being able to learn from Eddrick is a big deal,” Perry-Wright said. “There were a lot of things that I didn’t know coming to Buford and he helped me. I trained with him the summer before I got here. He’s like a big brother.

Perry-Wright has seen a recruiting uptick of his own as of late as he prepares to step further into the spotlight. He’s added offers from USC, Texas, Texas A&M, Penn State and Wake Forest.

Perry-Wright has 16 early offers at the moment. At the moment, he’s just taking it all in. There aren’t any favorites at the moment.

There is just an open mind looking to see what the recruiting world has to offer.

“I’m open to everyone right now,” Perry Wright said. “I’m grateful for all of them (offers). I don’t have any special ones right now. I’m thankful for them all.”

Clemson is already a visible program Bryce Perry-Wright’s recruitment

Perry-Wright has been on a few campuses so far. He visited Clemson three times already. The Tigers don’t typically offer underclassmen and Perry-Wright is likely two years away from an offer from Clemson. Perry-Wright’s last trip to Death Valley was back in November when the Tigers hosted Miami.

The Clemson culture and head coach Dabo Swinney are also already intriguing factors for the young defensive lineman.

“I love Clemson and coach Dabo Swinney,” Perry-Wright said. “There is a good relationship with them. I like coach (Nick) Eason and coach Lemanski (Hall) as well.”

Clemson is close to home. Clemson is easy to visit and made it interesting in terms of getting family to games should Perry-Wright land there someday.

“I like the close distance, it’s not too far from the family,” Perry-Wright said.

South Carolina RPM’s early leader

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine favors South Carolina at the moment. The Gamecocks have a 62.6 percent chance of landing the rising sophomore according to RPM. Perry-Wright was on campus back on March 18.

South Carolina made an impression on multiple fronts.

“I like South Carolina and coach (Shane) Beamer and all of them,” Perry-Wright said. “I went to a game (in the fall) and it was super loud.”

Relationship building is the next step

Perry-Wright will be on the road at some point this summer. He’s not set on any destinations or dates as of now. He has relationship-building on his mind.

“I’m always looking to build relationships to make sure a place is right for me,” Perry-Wright said. “The relationships with trainers, family and everyone else are important.”
