<a href="https://www.on3.com/db/jalan-wingfield-237677/">Jalan Wingfield</a>, a four-star power forward in the 2026 class, says he is currently hearing from five schools the most (in no particular order): <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/cincinnati-bearcats/">Cincinnati</a>, <a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/auburn-tigers/">Auburn</a>, <a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/alabama-crimson-tide/">Alabama</a>, <a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/mississippi-state-bulldogs/">Mississippi State</a>, and <a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/south-carolina-gamecocks/">South Carolina</a>.



He recently announced a top 10 that included each of those programs, along with Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, and Virginia Tech. 



The 6-foot-7 junior out of Tri-Cities (GA) is the No. 75 overall recruit in the nation, according to the <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/rankings/industry-player/basketball/2026/">On3 Industry Rankings</a>. He’s also the No. 10 power forward and the No. 7 player in Georgia.



Wingfield is the son of former Cincinnati Bearcat and NBA player <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dontonio_Wingfield">Dontonio Wingfield</a>.



He has completed unofficial visits to Cincinnati, Auburn, Florida State, and Georgia Tech.

In a <a href="https://www.on3.com/news/jalan-wingfield-talks-trips-to-cincinnati-auburn-florida-state-while-talking-recruitment/">recent interview</a> with On3’s Jamie Shaw, Jalan Wingfield discussed his trips to both Auburn and Cincinnati. 



AUBURN: “They got a great fanbase, I saw that immediately. You know, watching them play, they’re a top team in the country right now and I think with how I play, I can fit in with them team well. “I talk a lot with them over there. <a href="https://auburntigers.com/staff/bruce-pearl">Coach (Bruce) Pear</a>l just sent me a whole voice message this week. So yeah, we got a good relationship.



CINCINNATI: “Cincinnati is amazing, it feels like home over there. You know, my dad (<a href="https://www.nba.com/stats/player/112/career">Dontonio Wingfield</a>) went there, so I’m familiar with the program. My relationship with Coach Chad (Dollar) is really good, I can’t even lie. It just feel like home with him, like he’s my uncle, you know. They got a big campus up there and all their facilities are nice.”

Jalan Wingfield was recently named one of the top performers at the Holiday Hoopsgiving by On3’s Jamie Shaw:



“Jalan Wingfield has an appeal to his game. A lot of that appeal for the 6-foot-7 forward comes from his floor awareness and oftentimes being in the right place. He has great length and a projectable frame. He is also a multi-level producer. Finishing with touch around the basket, pushing the break with control, and knocking down shots with touch. His body is still developing, but his current production, skill base, and frame lead to long-term intrigue.”
