4-star PG Nigel James down to 4 schools
Nigel James, a four-star point guard in the 2025 class, tells On3 he’s narrowed his list of schools down to four: Georgia, Georgia Tech, Marquette, and Rutgers.
James broke down each of his final four schools in an exclusive interview with On3 here.
The 6-foot rising senior out of Long Island Lutheran (NY) has taken official visits to both Rutgers and Marquette and is considering trips to Georgia and Georgia Tech. James has not set a commitment date but says he will likely make a decision within the month of June or July.
In addition to his finalists, James also received offers from Creighton, Louisville, LSU, St. John’s, Iowa, Minnesota, Wake Forest, Xavier, Seton Hall, Syracuse, Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech, and Providence.

James talks his game + what he’s looking for in a school
In a previous interview with On3, Nigel James broke down his game.
“I’m a pass-first point guard,” James told On3. “I’m a winner, a team-first guy who just wants to win. I’ve always been able to score the ball, but with this team, I’m more of a playmaker. I pick up 94 feet and am the best defender I can be. All the little things.”
James also knows what we wants in his future college.
“Relationship is going to be big for me. The relationship with the coach and the relationship the team has. I want to play for a coach that lets their guards go, and that has a trust and a belief in me. My biggest thing though is going to be the relationship.”
