Nyk Lewis, a four-star point guard in the 2025 class, tells On3 he has committed to Xavier and Sean Miller.

The 6-foot-1 rising senior out of Gonzaga High School (D.C.) chose the Musketeers over a top group of  CreightonGeorgetownLSUMichigan, and Seton Hall.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Lewis is the No. 48 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. He’s also the No. 7 point guard prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Lewis on his commitment to Xavier

“I chose Xavier because of the fit and the style of play that Xavier has and I trust coach Miller and the staff,” he said to On3.

What led to that trust between Lewis and coach Miller?

“Just his transparency and what I needed to work on and how he could help me get to the next level.”

In his own words, what type of player is Xavier getting in Nyk Lewis?

“I’m a downhill guard who is a good shooter off the pass and bounce that likes to get his teammates involved and a very good rebounder.”

He has a message for Xavier fans.

“I’m ready to turn up the Cintas!”

Scouting Report

“Nyk Lewis is a paint touch guard. Listed in the 6-1 range, he has long arms with a sturdy base and good balance. Lewis has a crafty handle along with quick-twitch athleticism that gets him to where he wants to go on the court. Not only does he touch the paint on offense, but he also prevents the other team from touching the paint while guarding the point of attack. Lewis will need to continue tightening the jump shot. He is comfortable pulling up, stepping into his shots off the bounce and knocking them down. Things can get streaky shooting from beyond the arc. He is aggressive on both ends which helps him to be an active rebounder from the point guard position. He is on the shorter side, so his ability to heat up the point of attack is important. Lewis is competitive in every setting and simply exudes toughness on the court.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
