4-star PG TJ Jamison updates his recruitment, talks LSU visit
TJ Jamison is currently the No. 9 overall player in the 2027 On3 Industry Ranking. The 6-foot-2 lead guard from Shreveport (LA) Calvary Baptist averaged 14.3 points and 3.4 assists per game with the JL3 program on Nike’s E15 Circuit this summer.
“I’m an all-around player,” Jamison told On3. “I like to get my teammates involved first, and then I can score the ball and get to the rack. I shoot the ball pretty well and I like the mid-range game. I’ve been getting a lot stronger this summer. I’m hitting the weight regularly and I’m getting stronger and I can see it with my body control against defenders. I try and model my game after Rob Dillingham, I watch some Devin Booker too. I like Dillingham’s shiftiness and his quick-twitch and is so smooth with it.”
On3 caught up with four-star TJ Jamison after a recent live viewing to discuss his game and the early stages of his recruitment.
“I have offers from LSU, Texas A&M, Michigan State, Louisville, UAB, New Orleans, Tulane, Grambling State, and a couple more,” Jamison said. “I’ve been on campus at LSU, that’s the only one so far.”

Jamison talks LSU
“The campus is very big, that was the first thing I noticed,” Jamison said. “And the coaches and the players are like a family, they all welcomed me with open arms. And I know some of the players there too, so it is like a family thing.
“I went to the game last year when they played Kentucky. And that was a crazy atmosphere, especially when Tyrel (Ward) hit the game-winner. Everyone stormed the court. And all the other sports were there supporting. So it was pretty cool to see.”
In Tyrone Jamison’s words
“I’m looking for a program that will fit my play style and let me play my game and let me be me,” Jamison said. “Really that will be the biggest thing for me. I want to go to a place that is like a family and play for a coach that I trust. I want to be comfortable with how they play but also a place that feels like home.”
