4-star WR Joshua Manning committing Thursday
Lee’s Summit (Mo.) four-star wide receiver Joshua Manning will be announcing his college commitment Thursday night at his high school.
Manning is ranked as the No. 303 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
On3 is the highest on Manning in the industry, slotting him in at No. 147 in the 2023 On300 ranking.
On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power highlighted Manning’s skills as a pass catcher and good athleticism as for his ranking.
“Joshua Manning checks several boxes as a receiver prospect,” Power said. “He’s a technically savvy pass-catcher with the ability to separate with his routes and pick up yards after the catch. We also see Manning make some plays on the ball in the red zone. He elevates and shows high-point ability in contested catch situations. Manning also has a good athletic profile. He’s clocked 11.15 seconds in the 100 meters this spring and is an all-state long jumper. He also has above-the-rim athleticism on the basketball court.”
Kansas State are the favorites to land Manning, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. The Wildcats have an 88.6% chance of seeing the four-star wideout join their recruiting class.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
