Latest on Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

The Aaron Rodgers saga this off-season took a new turn when the quarterback reported for training camp, following a new agreement with general manager Brian Gutekunst. As the season draws near, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports gave us insight into the latest on the situation.
“As for the Packers, they have about six months to repair that relationship with Rodgers,” Glazer said, on the Fox Hall of Fame Game pregame show. “If at the end of this year Aaron Rodgers decides he wants out, they have to trade Aaron Rodgers. They’ve agreed to it already.”
While Rodgers may be back in Green Bay, it’s obvious it may be the quarterback’s swan song with the franchise.
Earlier this summer, Rodgers and wide receiver Davante Adams posted pictures of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen on their Instagram story, simultaneously. It was inferred that it signaled the duo’s final season playing together, inspired by The Last Dance.
Aaron Rodgers’ relationship with Brian Gutekunst
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, the dominating story of the NFL off-season was Rodgers’ relationship with the Green Bay Packers. Specifically, the well-documented riff between the quarterback and general manager Brian Gutekunst.
Earlier this week, Rodgers spoke on his relationship with the general manager.
“I think it’s a work in progress,” Rodgers says, per Around the NFL writer Nick Shook. “I think relationships aren’t formed in the matter of a couple days. There’s time where the respect grows and the communication follows. I think the greatest relationships that you have with your friends and loved ones involve conversations and flow. You can not talk to a close friend for a few months and pick up right where you left off.”
While their relationship may be frayed, Gutekust recognized how vital Rodgers is to his team’s success. After agreeing to a reworked contract and stipulations to bring the quarterback back to Green Bay, he also traded for wide receiver Randall Cobb, a move spearheaded by Rodgers.

When asked about the trade, Gutekust credited Rodgers going to bat for Cobb as the main reason why it was made.
“I think that was a big part of it,” Gutekunst said last week. “Without Aaron, I don’t know if we would be pursuing that. He’s still a really good player.”
Rodgers is still talented as ever
Nevertheless, Rodgers is proving he’s as talented as ever. The quarterback was videotaped throwing a football into a net from 50-yards out at Packers training camp.
The insane video brought all Packers fans in attendance to their feet. Also, it dropped the jaw of everyone who saw the video on social media. Rodger’s pinpoint accuracy is a spectacle
As Glazer states, the Packers have essentially six months to change Rodgers’ mind. If not, the quarterback will be going viral in a different uniform next season.
