Welcome to The Show, Adley Rutschman.

When the Orioles selected the former Oregon State star with the first overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, Rutschman became the future of Baltimore. The future is now, as the franchise is bringing the star prospect up to the big leagues, making his debut on Saturday.

Check out the heart-warming moment where his dreams came true, as his manager tells him he’s moving up to the MLB.

The speech given by his manager is awesome, but the surprise celebration featuring his teammates is a thing of beauty. It’s evident the former Pac-12 Player of the Year is well-respected by his squad, and he’ll be looking to bring the same camaraderie to the next level.

Exciting times are ahead for the Orioles. It’s finally Adley Rutschman time in Baltimore, and all eyes will be on the top prospect in the league on Saturday.

More on Adley Rutschman, Baltimore Orioles

Moreover, Adley Rutschman is joining the Orioles when the iron’s hot. Baltimore is coming off an intense walk-off victory over the Tampa Bay Rays, where Rougned Odor crushed a two-run homer in the bottom of the 13th to send the fans home happy.

The home run kept the good times rolling, as it was the second-straight game with a walk-off home run for Baltimore. On Thursday, the Orioles defeated the New York Yankees — a team that has dominated them over recent seasons — with a three-run home run off the bat of Anthony Santander for a 9-6 victory. The win salvaged the series for the Orioles, as they split the four-game series with the Bronx Bombers, who have been the top team in the AL this season.

Now, Adley Rutschman will be ready to keep the train chugging along against the Rays, as he makes his big league debut on Saturday. The Orioles will send Kyle Bradish (1-2, 5.06 ERA) to the hill, and Tampa Bay will pitch Jeffrey Springs (1-1, 1.66 ERA) to begin the contest. The hunt for the former Pac-12 star’s first hit is on.
