Will Anderson logs final pre-draft visit to Seattle Seahawks
Former Alabama edge rusher Will Anderson reportedly took his final pre-draft visit to see the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero.
The projected top-10 draft pick has met with teams all over the country but his final visit was with the team with the No. 5 selection during next Thursday’s 2023 NFL Draft.
Anderson is one of 17 prospects in this year’s draft invited to the green room. He is doing his best to manage his expectations. He’s just looking forward to being at the draft, ready to hear his phone ring and shake the hand of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
“Really, my expectation is just waiting to get the phone call,” Anderson said this week on ESPN. “I don’t know what spot it’s going to be at, but I know I’m going to get a phone call. I’m just blessed to be there.”
In front of the Seahawks, the Arizona Cardinals are another team that could go after Anderson. The Arizona Cardinals have the No. 3 overall pick in this year’s draft, just two spots ahead of Seattle.
Anderson has one of the most decorated college resumes. He earned Unanimous All-American status twice, won the SEC Defensive Player of the Year award twice, and the Bronko Nagurski Trophy twice as well. He finished his career at Alabama with 204 total tackles, 58.5 tackles for loss, and 34.5 sacks, wreaking havoc on a game-to-game basis off of the edge for years.

More on the 2023 NFL Draft
Hosting the draftees for private workouts and top-30 visits gives teams an opportunity to get more face time with the potential picks and get to know them beyond the tape and combine performances.
The NFL’s top-30 visits are reserved for 30 prospects per team and do not involve on-field workouts. They serve as job interviews, on top of medical checkups and meetings with the coaching staff.
The 2023 NFL Draft takes place from Thursday, April 27 through Saturday, April 29 in Kansas City, Missouri. The event location this year is the plaza just outside of Union Station.
Round 1 of the NFL Draft begins at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, Apr. 27. Rounds 2-3 will begin at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, Apr. 28, and Rounds 4-7 will begin at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday, Apr. 29. The draft broadcast runs throughout the weekend on both ESPN and NFL Network.
