It’s football season, which means Antonio Brown can’t stay away from the limelight. This time, the former All-Pro wideout is wanting to join the Dallas Cowboys for the 2022 NFL season.

“Tell Jerry Jones to call me!” Brown said in a video obtained by TMZ.

The last time we saw Brown in uniform, he would take it off – literally – in the middle of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ road game against the New York Jets before parading around the sidelines. The incident would force the hand of the Bucs’ brass and the two parties would go their separate ways following the game.

In seven games last season, Brown caught 42 passes for 545 yards and four touchdowns – a shell of his former self that saw him string together six 1,000-plus yard receiving seasons from 2013 through 2018. Since leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers, Brown made a pitstop in New England for a one-game stint with the Patriots before settling down in Tampa for the past two seasons.

Since the incident, Brown has contemplated his retirement from the NFL, joining various teams, claimed he was interested in buying a NFL franchise and hilariously revealing his career’s biggest regret.

Since his meltdown with the Buccaneers, Brown has said that a couple of teams across the NFL were interested in his services – including the Cowboys. The biggest question will be whether or not Dallas would want to deal with the antics that surround Brown. When healthy, Brown has shown flashes of his former self, though his off-the-field antics are something seemingly unavoidable and is likely what is keeping the Cowboys from actually acting on Brown’s signing.

The way Brown left Tampa – and everything else that he’s done over the past few years – any NFL team will question themselves on whether or not bringing him in is worth the headache. Even with the Cowboys losing former top receiver Amari Cooper, would bringing in Brown be the best option?

With CeeDee Lamb set to take over Cooper’s WR1 position, and the season to begin in less than a month, Brown’s arrival could prove more of a publicity stunt rather than for the betterment of the wide receiving corps.
