Brown’s exit from the Buccaneers continues to produce plenty of drama nearly a full year since he jogged off the field without his pads or a shirt during a game. Brown’s addition to the team was full of controversy after his previous two NFL stops. Brown had a public and very drama-filled exit from the Raiders in 2019 that saw him released from the team at his request. Brown then signed with the Patriots in a signing marred by further controversy about personal and sexual misconduct allegations against Brown.
Despite all of this, Brown debuted for the Patriots in Week 2 of the 2019 NFL season. Less than two weeks into his tenure with the Patriots, Brown was cut by the team after further allegations and conduct by Brown after joining New England.
Brown officially retired days after being cut by the Patriots, but later changed his mind days later. After considering another retirement in 2020, Brown eventually signed a new deal with the Buccaneers — apparently building a great relationship with Brady at the time. Brown was staying with Brady after joining the team, and Brady reportedly was helping Brown make strides to improve his off-the-field issues.

In Week 17 of the 2021 season, Brown made his infamous departure from the team after an argument with head coach Bruce Arians. Brown was allegedly asked to enter the game by Arians, but Brown refused due to an injury he was dealing with. Brown felt that he had been disrespected by his coach and proceeded to remove his gear on the sideline — taking off his shirt eventually and jogging through the end zone as he gestured to the fans.
Now, it appears that Brown still is holding onto his grudge with the team and Brady specifically as he shares yet another social media post directed at his former quarterback. Earlier this year, Brown shared a photo of himself taken with Brady’s wife amid rumors that they were having marital problems. Brown also previously shared an image of a children’s book cover titled “Daddy Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” with Brady’s face edited over the father’s.
