Arizona Cardinals QB Colt McCoy injured, Trace McSorley enters game
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Colt McCoy was injured during the team’s Sunday afternoon game against the Los Angeles Rams. McCoy — who started in place of Kyler Murray — was in need of medical attention after the injury. Third-string quarterback Trace McSorley was seen warming up to enter the game. McCoy has since returned to the game.
After a play, McCoy was seen reaching for his left knee and appeared to be in obvious pain. McCoy was 20-of-31 for 157 yards and a touchdown when he was hurt. McCoy was the starter for Murray after it was announced earlier in the week that Murray was a game-time decision. Murray is currently battling a hamstring injury that limited what he could do.

Times tough for the Cardinals
Arizona entered this game looking to snap out of a funk following a very, very tough start to the season. The Cardinals have lost four of their last five and sit in last place in their division at 3-6. Murray made it clear that the Cardinals still have time to turn things around.
“All of us are fed up with losing, but we have to keep going,” Murray said, according to the team website. “The season is not over. We still have a chance, but we have to take it week by week. That’s the mentality. I’m sure they have a lot of feelings we got, but they just won the Super Bowl. We didn’t. I know their standard and how they expect to play. But it doesn’t change anything. We’re focused on ourselves, letting the chips fall where they may.”
